Photography Image Requests & Usage Policy | P.A.C Photography

Photography, Copyright & Requests to Use Images

At P.A.C Photography, I believe photography is more than pressing a shutter. It involves time, experience, creative judgement, equipment, preparation and the work that goes into selecting and processing the final images.

I enjoy photographing live music, events, people, places and creative projects, and I appreciate that photographs can help artists, organisations and businesses tell their stories. However, producing and maintaining a photography archive takes considerable time and investment, so I cannot fulfil every request for free images or photography.

Requests for Free Images

I consider requests individually and may choose to support particular artists, community projects, charitable causes or other initiatives where appropriate. However, this support is discretionary and depends on the circumstances, the intended use and my availability.

Please don't assume that an image will be available free of charge simply because a project has a limited budget, is non-profit, or offers publicity in return. I understand that budgets vary, but each request needs to be considered on its own merits.

Credit and Exposure

Photographic credit is appreciated and should be provided where agreed, but credit and exposure are not automatically a substitute for payment or a licence to use an image.

If you would like to use one of my photographs, please explain how and where it will appear so that I can consider the request and confirm any applicable terms.

Copyright and Permission

Photographs displayed on this website remain protected by copyright. Viewing, downloading or sharing an image online does not, by itself, grant permission to reproduce, publish, modify, sell or use it for promotional or commercial purposes.

Please contact P.A.C Photography before using an image, and wait for permission and any agreed terms to be confirmed. Where permission is granted, it applies to the specific use agreed; additional uses may require separate permission.

How to Make a Request

If you would like to use an existing photograph, please include:

  • A link to the image or gallery, if available.
  • Who you are representing and the project involved.
  • How the photograph will be used and where it will appear.
  • Whether the use is commercial, promotional, editorial, personal or charitable.
  • Your budget, intended publication date and any relevant deadlines.

These details help me understand the request and decide what may be possible. For commissioned photography, please provide a brief description of the project, the location and your requirements.

A Personal Approach

I value the relationships I have built with artists, bands, venues, organisations and other people through photography. I am always happy to consider genuine enquiries and discuss opportunities that may be a good fit.

I may occasionally provide images without charge, but this is a decision I make on a case-by-case basis. I cannot promise that every request will be accepted, and I may not be able to respond individually to every unsolicited request.

Thank you for taking the time to understand the work behind the photographs and for respecting the time, creativity and rights involved.
